Retiree Health Coverage

This refers to a form of group coverage offered to retired employees by an employer or other plan sponsor. If you’re retired and have Medicare and group health plan coverage from a former employer, usually Medicare will pay for your health care bills first and your group health plan coverage will pay second. The terms of your specific plan will guide how your retiree group health plan coverage works with Medicare.
