This is Medicare Part B and assists policyholders when it comes to paying for services not covered by Part A, including physical and occupational therapy. You normally pay 20% of the costs for all services approved by Medicare, and Part B insurance pays the rest. While it is an optional plan that carries an extra monthly premium, Part B is essential if you wish to enroll in either a Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan or Medicare Advantage Plan.

As Barry needed physical therapy, he was grateful to have medical insurance through Medicare to help cover most of the cost.
