End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD)
End-Stage Renal Disease is permanent kidney failure that typically requires a regular course of dialysis and/or a kidney transplant. You will usually get your health coverage through Medicare Parts A and B if you have ESRD. You may be able to join a Medicare Advantage Plan if you meet certain circumstances. If you have ESRD you may also be eligible for Medicare even if you are under the age of 65.
